With 10+ years of experience in creative writing, project management, book publishing, social media, and client experience, I can tackle pretty much anything you throw at me.

I recently wrapped up my time at Wiley as a freelance editorial project manager, copyeditor, and general editing fiend. Before I went full-time freelance, I was working at Allocations as a client experience specialist, managing client communications and building a client education program. 

In a former life, I was a reporter and columnist, focusing on the connection between food, emotion, and memory. My passion for sustainable agriculture and ethical consumption leads me to work with people who care about our collective health and our planet's health.

WRITER AT LARGE

April 2014 - Present

Contributing writer for Spinning Platters, The Tusk, ShipwreckSF, Funny Sexy Sad, and other various publications and shows. Currently managing personal Substack, Medium, and Tumblr blogs. Writing sketches, character monologues, and other comedic scripted content for Upright Citizens Brigade, Squirrel Comedy Theater, and The Comedy Lab. Published in Loose Lips: Fanfiction Parodies of Great (and Terrible) Literature (Grand Central Publishing, 2016). Providing feedback to fellow writers and comedians for scripted projects and standup material. Developing story structure and characters for personal screenplay projects.

April 2021 - January 2025

Managed and edited various book projects for the ProTech/Sybex editorial team. Provided internal weekly updates regarding project timelines and relevant details. Managed communications between authors, freelancers, and editorial teams throughout manuscript development. Provided developmental editing, copyediting, and proofreading feedback on manuscripts. Developed and finalized all manuscript deliverables for production team and freelancers.

October 2021 - April 2023

Managed client communications and expectations through email and chatbot platforms. Provided support to Sales, Deals, Legal, Compliance, Banking, and Migrations teams through data management, template creation, email sequences, and responding to investor and fund manager queries. Tracked editorial, development, and production of several professional development books for PBLWorks. Managed contributors' deadlines and manuscript submissions, gave editing and writing assistance as needed, and provided other admin support as needed.

September 2018 - September 2019

Managed book projects from acquisition to manuscript delivery, as well as additional book projects as assigned. Strategized cover design and copy with authors, editorial, and marketing teams. Researched and acquired potential book projects, with a specialization in alternative healing, spirituality, and health.
